UNDATED (AP) -- Auburn has jumped two spots to No. 3 behind top-ranked Oregon and Boise State in The Associated Press college football poll. Better yet for the Tigers, they surged to the top of the BCS standings after improving to 8-0 on Saturday.
Auburn has its highest AP ranking since it was No. 2 in 2006. It comes one day after topping LSU 24-17 in a matchup of the Southeastern Conference's last unbeaten teams. LSU tumbles from sixth to 12th in the AP poll.
The Ducks hammered UCLA Thursday night in their first game atop The Associated Press football poll. Oregon is No. 2 in the BCS.
The Broncos are third in the AP poll and third in the BCS following a bye week.
TCU remains fourth in the AP poll and Michigan State moves up three to No. 5, with Alabama inching up from seventh to sixth.
No. 7 Missouri made the largest jump in the poll, vaulting 11 spots after beating previously undefeated Oklahoma 36-27. The Sooners dropped eight spots to No. 11.
No. 25 Baylor is 6-and-2 and ranked for the first time since Sept. 1993, when the Bears were No. 24 for a week.
