New York, NY--It's at least a two week layoff for Chipola alum Jose Bautista.
Jose suffered a wrist injury on this swing in the 8th inning of the Jays game with the Yankees last night.
After driving this ball foul down the left field line, he grabbed the wrist in obvious pain.
Many feared he'd broken the wrist on the swing, or perhaps tore a tendon.
After looking at the x-rays and the m-r-i, they are calling it inflammation of the wrist, even though Bautista said he could hear a popping sound in the wrist.
So for now, it's a 15 day stint on the disabled list. Jose hitting 244 with 27 homers and 65 rbi this season, this injury a big blow for that lineup.
