Bay Alum Khyri Thornton Talks About First Few Days of Camp

Green Bay, WI----He is the pride of Cherry Street Elementary and Bay High School, and he's now setting out on his NFL career.

Khyri Thornton now four days into Packers training camp. The third round pick out of Southern Miss, wearing number 94, seems to be enjoying the camp experience so far.

We spoke with him by phone Wednesday and asked...what was the first lesson learned in camp?

"Don't mess up or you won't play." Thornton said quickly. "Timing and technique. They're real fundamentally sound on technique. You have to get your technique right. You can do your timing right, but if your technique's not right you can blow and assignment or blow a coverage. Or blow a gap. But if you don't have the right technique than they can go for a big play. So they stress get your technique down, get your technique down, get your technique down."

Hear more with Khyri this week as he talks about getting recognized around Green Bay, and just living his dream of getting a shot in the NFL.
