Panama City Beach, FL---One Arnold golfer and one area girls team, Fort Walton Beach, play well enough to advance to State at Bay Point's Club Meadows Tuesday.
Bay hosting the 2A Region 1 Tournament there, with 9 boys and 8 girls teams from Jacksonville to Pensacola competing there.
From a team perspective Mosley, Arnold and Bay not faring all that well. On the boys side of things, Gulf Breeze won top honors with a 294 total, that's the best 4 of 5 scores. Fernandina Beach was second at 315. Mosley was 15 shots off that second place pace at 330, Bay finished with 335.
Brian Richards of Gulf Breeze was medalist for the boys shooting 73. Bay's Sam McLane was tied for second at 77, but double bogeyed the first playoff hole, while Washington's David McCaskill had par.
As for the girls, Milton placed first with 317, followed by Fort Walton Beach at 538. Arnold as a team shot 417, Mosley 454, and Bay shot 538.
Pensacola's Madison Pachecho had the low round with a 2 under 70. Lindsay Harrison of Arnold though took second with a 76, so she advances to State as an individual.

We caught up with Sam Gramling here on 18, trying to finish up his round with the birdie putt, which falls.
One of his teammates Sam McLane shot 77 which tied two others for second place individually, since the top two individuals advance to State, Sam going into a playoff with Matt Dunn of Rickards and David McCaskill of Washington, so high drama here.
McLane missed the fairway on the number one, the first playoff hole, goes for three green but misses. Winds up on the pine straw up against a big pine.
He lobs it up but falls short of the green, so then realistically needed to chip in from the fringe to save par if he wanted to stay in the playoff...can't do it, and he was out. Bummer.
McCaskill made his par, and when Dunn missed this short par saver, McCaskill advanced to State.
