Bay Looks Ahead to Game with Walton

Panama City, FL--Bay head football coach Jimmy Longerbeam and his guys are off to a good start this season, and are now looking ahead to game number three of their season.

It comes up Friday at Walton. The Tornadoes take a two and oh mark into that one, following the narrow win this past Friday over Liberty.

Regardless the margin, a win's a win, and again, Bay has two of them now and a pretty good feeling about how things are going.

"Oh absolutely we're real happy to be two and oh right now." says coach Longerbeam. "But we still got some work to do, we're still making some fundamental mistakes and some penalties, and that type of things. We just gotta continue to work. I think number one is penalties. We had 12 or 13 penalties the other night, we've done a good job of not turning over the ball much. But we've got to clean up the penalties. We kept some drives alive the other night because we jumped offsides and that kind of thing. But that's probably the number one thing."

As for the Braves, they're now even on the season, 1-1 following a convincing win Friday over visiting FAMU.

Bay is 5A, Walton 4A so a pretty good match up in terms of the size of these programs. We'll be out there Friday, watch for the highlights on Friday Night Overtime.
