Bay Prepares for Do-Or-Die Game vs. Rutherford

Panama City, FL---Bay is preparing for a game against long time rival Rutherford Thursday. Suffice it to say both teams are desperate for a win, both in terms of their seasons overall, and more importantly for district survival.

Bay's 2-5 overall, and like Rutherford, 0-2 in district play, and like Rutherford coming off a blowout loss last week. The Tornadoes lost to Gulf Breeze last Friday 31-6.

It's very simple, win and you stay alive in playoff contention, lose and you're done. Bay head coach Jimmy Longerbeam says he believes his guys are going about their game preps in the correct way.

"You know I tell you we've done a good job. It's a short week and we're gonna have to go a little longer and stuff. It's a rival game and they know all those kids, and they know our kids so it's a lot easier getting them ready to go this week. We wanna finish up the right way, and we've got to keep working and this is just the next game we have to get ready for. Our kids have done a good job of preparing all week all season, really."

That game Thursday night at 7, and we'll have the highlights for you on Newschannel 7 at 10.
