Panama City, FL--Jim Longerbeam is working to prepare his guys to get back into district play this week.
The Tornadoes host 5-A 1 opponent Gulf Breeze Friday. Bay 0-2, and 2-4 overall, having lost it's 4th straight last Friday 27-21 at Suwannee.
Coach Longerbeam says he and his staff dealt with the loss over the weekend and by Monday, were ready to move on.
"Well you spend all day Saturday looking at our mistakes, and what we have to fix. And then you spend Sunday looking, getting ready for Gulf Breeze. And then you kind of bring the kids in and show them film of our mistakes. That's behind us, because you can't let the same game beat you twice. So now you just go ahead and get prepared for the next one."
Coach Longerbeam knows his Tornadoes will have to have a very good week of practice and play to their fullest potential come Friday if they want to come away with a win over Gulf Breeze.
"I tell you they're very good. They have big offensive lineman, they spread you out running the football. And defensively they're very multiple on defense and they bring a lot of people to the football. So they're a good football team. They won a close one this past week against Milton and I think they've only lost once, to West Florida who's beaten everyone. So they have got a good football team."
Gulf Breeze actually 4-2 with losses to Catholic and West Florida. That game at Tommy Oliver Friday set for 7.
