Bay Tops Arnold In Rivalry Matchup

Panama City, FL --- With 3 losses in district play coming in to tonight's matchup against Arnold, Bay was pretty much eliminated from playoff contention. The Marlins, on the other hand, began the day just just 0-2 in 5A-1 play, so if they can win out, or win 3 of their last 4, they might have a chance for a runner up spot.

Shown in the highlights attached above, on the first play from scrimmage, Arnold's Tori Cotton gets the ball on the screen from Cody Saunders, finds room and goes all the way for the 65 yard score, it's 7-0 Marlins.

Next possession, Bay on the move, Rayquan Webb takes the handoff for for 12 yards.

Then on 4th and 15, Webb finishes the drive, getting the pass from Longerbeam, 36 yards later it's a tie game.

Same score into the second quarter, Bay going for 4th and short, Alec Gordon stuffed and Bay turns it over on downs.

4 play later, Arnold with 4th and one, and this time the Bay defense makes the stop, McAfee unable to get the first down.

But Arnold gets it back and Cody Saunders goes up top, finds Riley Peterson for the 46 yard touchdown
and the fish lead it 14-7.

Last play of the half, Bay looking to tie it again, Longerbeam to Robert Monroe who then tosses downfield to Travion Turrell, looked like it might be two forward passes, but the ref's rule it a 41 yard touch. So it's tied at 14 going into the break...

Bay and early third quarter field goal, they each add a touchdown after that, Bay then with a Marquice Goodman pick in the final minute and a half, set up the final score, 30-21 Bay wins.
