Panama City, FL--The Bay boy's soccer team saw it's season come to a heartbreaking end Friday night at Tommy Oliver, in a 3-2 overtime loss to district rival Catholic. Bay grabbed the early lead on a goal by Jacob Wright about 7 minutes in. The Crusaders responded with two unanswered goals though to carry a 2-1 lead into the half.
It stayed 2-1 until the 23 minute mark of the second half, when off a throw in, Ashton Hicks tied the match with a beautiful header. Bay then took several shots on goal to try and push across the go ahead goal in the final 20 minutes, but was denied again and again by Catholic's keeper.
So they went to overtime, and just two minutes in, off a throw in, Catholic scored the game winner. Bay's season coming to a sudden stop at 18-7-2.
