Panama City, FL-- The Bay Tornadoes started fast and never looked back in their region quarterfinal boy's soccer match Tuesday at Tommy Oliver against Florida High.
Just 3 minutes into the do-or-die match, Ashton Hicks took a beautiful assist from Jacob Wright and easily beat the FSU keeper to put Bay up 1-0.
Just 3 minutes later another opportunity came after Seth Lippman stole a throw-in, and laid out another perfect feed for Hicks, who again delivered, less than 6 minutes in, it was 2-0 Bay.
Some ten minutes after that Jarod Wilkins launched one from outside the box, the FSU keeper got a hand on it, it ricocheted off the bar, which allowed Stephen Fasbinder to kick it home. It was 3-0 Bay into the half.
Bay added two more in the second half, winning 5-0. That sends them into the region semi's Friday, when they'll host Catholic, the team they beat 5-1 last week in the district final.
