Panama City Beach, FL-- We start with high school baseball over at Arnold. The Marlins hosting county and district rival Bay.
Both teams looking to build some late season momentum here in the stretch run with districts looming at the end of the month. Pick it up scoreless in the bottom of the second, that is until Connor Montford doubles left, Reichart around from second.
Bay answers with a run in the top of the third, a walk, an infield and this rbi double by Kevin Husum, Dustin Gibson across with the tying run.
Then in the 5th, after a couple of walks, Michael Luing bounces to first, the throw to second a short hop that gets away Ean Phillips, allows Alex Hayes to score from second.
Luing holds on from there, a complete 3
hitter, Bay wins it 2-1. They go to 9-7, 5-4 in 3A district one play.
