Orlando, FL--Call it good news where Bay alum Bert Reed is concerned. He's now worked in five straight bowl game practices, the last two in Orlando, and it looks like he will indeed suit up and play Thursday against the Irish.
A few weeks ago Bert suffered a "bad" hamstring injury, Jimbo Fisher said at the time he thought Reed was "probably done."
Jimbo didn't think there was enough time for Reed to heal.
Thanks though to platelet rich plasma treatments, which takes platelet rich blood from one part of the body and injects it to the injured part of the body, Bert says he now feels "way closer to being game ready." He admits he still can feel the hammy a bit while running.
Fisher hesitant to say Reed will start Thursday, but felt somewhat optimistic it might happen.
