Springfield, FL--- The Rutherford's Ram Slam Classic came to a close Sunday after eight high school and college teams all took part in the summer ball tourney.
That field includes the Bozeman Bucks, playing Sunday morning against Hooper Academy out of Alabama.
A six run second had the Bucks up early, but Hooper had the bases loaded only down one in the top of the fifth. Yet Nicky Agosto strikes out the side to end the threat.
The Bucks add a run on for insurance in their half of the fifth, scoring on a passed ball strikeout.
They'd get slowed down by thunder and lightening, but the Bucks go on to win 7-5.
The rest of the games, like Rutherford's tourney finale, were called due to the weather around 2:30 PM. The Rams will be back in action next week though, when they host their Summer Slam tournament again at Shamplaign.
