Bucks Prepare for Home Opener

Sand Hills, FL--Can the Bozeman Bucks start the season off with two straight wins? That question will be answered Friday night when the Bucks make their home opener against Port St. Joe.

Both these 1-A teams were winners last week, this game our Southern Orthopedic Specialists Game of the week.

In talking with Bozeman Head Coach Loren Tillman, well he seems pretty satisfied with the way his guys began the regular season with a 35-0 win at West Gadsden.

"We played pretty well, started off a little rough, a few penalties on the first drive. I think that was more coaching than it was
players, we had some rain right before the game, about an hour. And we rushed them out there and tried to rush them through warm up, then got the ball and had a few penalties. But other than that first drive we played very well. Played very sound defensively and the offense finished most of the drives in the end zone."

This game will serve as the Bucks home opener and Tillman says his team is psyched to finally play in front of the home fans.

"We're glad to be home I mean we only travel five times this year with our kickoff classic. Our two longest road trips were back to back the kickoff classic and week one, so we're glad not to be crawling on a bus this Friday. We're glad to be at home and we hope a lot of people come out and support the Bucks and see a good high school football game."
