Sand Hills, FL---The Bozeman Bucks are one of 8 area 1A teams looking ahead to the start of the state playoffs Tuesday. The Bucks are hoping to carry over some late season momentum into the region semifinals, having won 11 of 13 before losing to West Gadsden in the district finals.

According to Head Coach Michael Memmen, the formula for his Bozeman basketball team is simple,

"Really we are just starting to believe in each other, believe in the system"

A belief, that brought the Bucks twelve consecutive wins from January 10th until February 9th when they lost to West Gadsden in the District championship.

And just because the streak came to an end, Coach Memmen says the teams dedication has not,

"We're still coming in every day and working hard every day to improve. I think sometimes when you go on a win streak like that, that guys will lose focus on the little things and these guys come in every day and work hard"

It's not just a determination possessed by the upperclassmen, like Senior Point Guard Herbie Harrell, it's a community effort to accomplish something the school has never done before,

"It's not just the Seniors on the team it's the whole school. Because no Bozeman basketball team has made it this far since 2009. And when we win one more game,we will surpass every team so we just want to keep going for the whole school"

Bozeman will play the red hot Cottondale Hornets at Cottondale, Tuesday, February 19th.
