Bucks Work Through a Good First Week Says Tillman

Sand Hills, FL---Count the Bozeman Bucks among the area teams working hard in the morning hours through the first week of official fall practice.

Coach Tillman telling us he's working with about 35 players on the varsity level, good numbers for the 1A level. He says he feels like the first several days of fall practice have been rather productive.

"It's been good." says Tillman. "We've had a really good first week of practice. The boys seem excited. The effort is there, the knowledge, everything we picked up in the spring and the summer, they seem to be right there and we're just in polish up mode."

Starting strong this August not a big surprise to coach Tillman and his staff, given the work so many of these players put in the last 8 weeks!

"It was probably the best summer we've had as far as our varsity numbers standpoint. We had a great June, had four different camps we were at. The NFL camp that Rutherford hosted, the Champ Camp up here. Then took some lineman to "Down and Dirty" and some kids to the skills camp. Then July we had our best numbers that we've ever had. So yeah it's carried on now, the kids are showing up, they're dedicated and they're ready to work."

Bozeman will play a fall classic at Arnold on the 23rd, and then opens the regular season at defending 1A state champ Northview.
