Bucks, Bulldogs Win District Semi's Tuesday

Sand Hills, FL--There is a guaranteed state playoff berth for the Bozeman Bucks baseball squad, thanks to a 6-2 win over Blountstown in their 1A district 4 semifinal game Tuesday night.

As it happens, the Bucks the top seed after an 11-1 run in district this season.

Bozeman with a bye into the semifinal against Blountstown, which Monday night beat St. Joe.

Bucks put up three early, Bulldogs with two, so it's a one run game into tje bottom of the 4th when the Bucks added another run on three singles and a bases loaded walk. Logan Straughsbaugh with the rbi, driving in Joey Brannon which made it 4-2.

Then a passed ball allows another run to race it, making it a 3 run Bozeman lead.

Same score into the bottom of the 6th, Reed Ruddick singled to right, ball gets by the right fielder, Matt Hall scores easily and Ruddick wound up on third, though he would be stranded there.

That was not a problem as Ryan Hardy already had enough runs on the board, Hardy goes the distance leading the way to the 6-2 win,.
So Bozeman into the championship game which comes up Thursday night at 7. It will be against Liberty which won the earlier semifinal Tuesday by a 6-3 score over South Walton.

Liberty and Bozeman split their two previous games this season with each team winning at home.
