Bulldogs Work Towards 2014 Season

Marianna, FL---Next up on our tour of area practice fields in advance of the 2014 season is in Marianna.

The Bulldogs set to begin a second season under head coach Mark Beach. Year one of his era, a disappointing 2-8 mark.

So naturally drastic improvement is the goal up there. Familiarity between Beach and the players, he hopes will be one key in 2014.
Getting some young guys to mature rather quickly will be another.

"We're young." says coach Beach. "We're really inexperienced. So a lot of stuff we really can't work on until we get in game situations and get on film and all that other stuff. You know we've just got a lot of young guys in a lot of new positions and they've got to take their lumps. I think every coach wants their kids to grow and mature. And that comes with, we've got a heckuva schedule ahead of us. And they're gonna have to grow, or we're gonna be in a tough situation."

Marianna again in 4-A district one with Walton, Florida and East Gadsden. The Bulldogs will play an intrasquad game tomorrow night.

And because Bay backed out of their first game, to be able to travel to Houston the Bulldogs don't begin regular season play until September 5th at Northview.
