Sand Hills, FL---Wednesday was college football's national signing day, when high school seniors are first able to sign binding scholarship offers.
Our area with a nice signing day representation on signing day, with some division one signees leading the way.
For Bozeman in fact, it was the first two division one signings in the school's short 8 year history of varsity ball.
Chandler Burkett, a 6-2, 220 pound linebacker signing with Maryland.
At the same time his team's quarterback Jacob Martinez inking an offer from Buffalo. So an historic day at Bozeman to say the least.
Bozeman head coach Loren Tillman calls these signings the product of hard work, and it also serves an as example of sorts.
"It means we had two kids that worked their tails off. I think it establishes to the other kids that you can play division one from this school and not just in football but any sport. You can get noticed, but they also established the work ethic that it takes. In the classroom and in the football field or whatever sport they choose to achieve at that level."
