Chipley, FL---Hard to believe but the high school football regular season is just over a week away. This week area teams will play either a fall classic, or practice game. Or take part in a 3 or four team jamboree.
For the Chipley Tigers it's a preseason game against Liberty Friday night.
Coach Chip Harris heading into his second season at the helm there and looking to improve on a 4-6 record from 2012.
Harris believes that's probable given a core group of returning upperclassmen led by senior running back/linebacker Kobe McCrary.
"Well we've got a good group of seniors." coach Harris says. "We've got some kids that have worked real hard in the off season. And our junior class is bigger than normal. So we're expecting good things. It's August, everybody is ready for fall football to get here, on so many levels, high school, college, you know the whole nine yards. So we're excited and we're ready to get the ball rolling."
That fall classic Friday against Liberty will be at Chipley with a kickoff set for 7.
