One of the top football players in our area announced Saturday night where he will continue the next chapter of his football career.
Chipley's Kobe McCrary, the 6'1", 225 pound running back and saftey will move from Washington County to El Dorado, Kansas and play for the Butler Community College Grizzlies.
Kobe made the announcement on Twitter, saying he was ecstatic about getting the chance to join the backfield of one of the nation's top Juco teams.
Butler finished the season ranked sixth in the country and has many players making the jump to Division I ball at big programs like Kansas State, Tennessee, and Iowa State.
Kobe will look to follow that path to D-I, as he says he'll work to improve his grades and his play.
Congratulations to McCrary and his family and best of luck throughout his time with the Grizzlies!
