Chipola and Northwest Florida State go head to head in the winner's bracket of the Juco State Tournament in Lakeland Monday.

Lakeland, FL-- We begin in baseball and that head to head meeting between Chipola and Northwest Florida State at the state juco baseball tournament Monday. Both the Indians and Raiders winning their first two games over the weekend, which had the Panhandle co-champs playing against each other in the winner's bracket game at 7 eastern. Indians in the dark uni's here, get 3 runs early off Jake Stephens, all coming on sac flies, this one in the third, Revell to left plating Lagarde, a 3-0 lead for the Indians through 3.
Stephens though would settle down after that, here in the 5th, he gets Geno Escalante on strikes. Chipola starter LJ Hollins meanwhile very sharp with a shutout through 6, but in 7th, with two outs and the bases full Kevin Jackson strokes one down the left field line, all three runners come in to score, Jackson winds up with a triple, game tied at 4. Austin Southall comes in and walks two hitters and then gives up this shot to center off the bat of Ryan Welke, another three runs score. An rbi single later scores Welke, 7 two out runs for the Raiders, and they go on to win this one 7-3. Chipola into an elimination game Tuesday at one against Santa Fe, Raiders face Polk in a 4 eastern time game.
