Marianna, FL-- We start this Thursday night on the diamond at Chipola. Coach Johnson and his Indians hosting Pensacola. Chipola heading into this one at 7-3 and tied with Northwest Florida State for the Panhandle Conference lead. Overcast kind of day at Chipola field for this 2 o'clock start. Lefty Luke Bole on the hill for the Indians, good start for him, he gets the strikeout to end the top of the first. Bottom half his mates go to work on giving him a lead, a double by Mack Harrison followed by this double by Derrick Pitts, over the left fielder, in comes Harrison. Then it's Escalante with the double to left center plating Pitts and Chipola out to a quick 2-0 lead, all that with two outs by the way. Bottom of the second, man on for leadoff hitter Kaleb Barlow and he puts a charge into one, well over the fence in left, Chipola up four zip, Bole and the pen would make that lead stand, Indians win 4-3, putting some pressure on Northwest Florida State who played at Gulf Coast Thursday night.
