Chipola plays a do-or-die game Tuesday against top ranked Santa Fee and the Indians come up big!

Lakeland, FL-- We start down in Lakeland site of the Juco State baseball tournament. The Chipola Indians falling to conference rival Northwest Florida State last night, so the Indians in an elimination game this afternoon against Santa Fe, and simply put, Jeff Johnson's team up to the task. They score first with an Escalante rbi single in the bottom of the first. And then score again with a Bigale rbi single to left in the 4th to lead it 2-0. Meanwhile lefty Derrick Pitts gets the start and he comes up big, going 6 and two-thirds, no runs, just two hits and 4 strikeouts.
The Indians plate another run in the 6th, then in the 8th, a Revell triple and an rbi double by Escalante made it 4-0, they add 4 more and win by run rule 8-zip in 8, Boddicker's sac fly to left plating the deciding run. So Chipola moves into the 10 a.m. game Wednesday.
