Lakeland, FL-- A fantastic season falls short as the Choctaw Lady Indians lose to Edgewater, 50-49 in the 6A State Championship game.

The highlights attached should show the following:

To Lakeland where Brittany Brown kicks it out to Brittany Washington for the 3 pointer.

That ties the game at 31.

In the fourth, seconds remaining....Lauren Day makes it a 3 point game putting the Lady Indians in a must foul situation...

meaning Edgewater would go to the line with nine seconds to ice the game...but they the ball gets kicked out to Brown who's carried the team all season...and she carries them to overtime with an unbelievable 3 point shot...

Indians, still hot in O-T as Day kicks it out to Washington for the long tied at 49...

Game still tied with a few seconds left as Day chucks up a prayer that gets intercepted by Edgewater...then bad became worse as Brittany Brown was called for the fould on the shot.

Sending Nyala Shuler to the line with no time left on the clock...if she makes one, they win...and she does.

A great game and an even better season by the Lady Indians but they come up just short as Edgewater wins their second consecutive State Championship, 50-49....
