Minneapolis, MN-- Call him one happy Seminole, Christian Ponder. As you may know, the Vikings took Christian with the 12th overall pick the draft Thursday night. He's now the first FSU quarterback ever taken in round one. Today Ponder flew up to Minneapolis and talked about becoming a Viking.
Vikings first round pick
¶"So elated to be here right now. First time in Minnesota, I'm loving what I see right now. I'm just enojying every minute of this, I'm just excited to be a Minnesota Viking, and to be a part of this great organization. Just ready to get to work ASAP. I have a history with Brad Johnson who played quarterback at FSU. I know Adrian Peterson, Sidney, and obviously Percy harvin who played at Florida whiole I was at Florida State. Great team, great organization, great fit for me."
Ponder coming off a season in which he hit on 61 percent of his throws, for over 2 thousand yards and 20 touchdowns. He certainly gave his all to FSU the last four years, great to see him take it to the next level.
