Coach Dempsey Explains Reasons For 12 Players Chosen

Springfield, FL-- Several student athletes from Bay County will get to perform at the Cleveland Browns facilities in a national 7 on 7 tournament.

12 kids from Rutherford, Bay and Bozeman, were chosen to take part in the NFL's High School Player Development Tournament next weekend.

They were picked after taking part in a Player Development Camp a couple of weeks ago at Rutherford High School.

We spoke with Ram's Head Coach Alvin Dempsey, who was in charge of making the selections, about sort of qualifications he was looking for in the players,

"One of the main things was where they lived. Their character, dependability, workmanship, sports ability, all those things went into picking these guys to be a part of this. And these are guys that exemplify great behavior on and off the field. If you turn your back they are going to do the right thing and continue to do the right thing."
