To college football now and next on the menu for the Florida State Seminoles, a visit Saturday from the Boston College Eagles. As it is, the 'noles head into that one with an overall record of 5-1, a perfect three and oh in ACC play. And coming off the thorough beatdown of the rival Hurricanes in Miami Saturday night, the 'noles also go into that one as the 16th ranked team in the A-P, and pretty much the favorite now to go on and win their conference. All that has to make FSU a much more confident ball team, but certainly as Ponder points out, not a cocky one!
"....It really goes back to the week of preperation that we're going to have this week. And we know, you know after, what I learned from last year in dealing with success, especially after coming back from that BYU game and then we lose to USF, it's something that I don't want to go through again. This team has the right attitude and I don't foresee that happening. You know we gotta handle our business this week."
The oddsmakers certainly impressed with 'noles lately, they are 22 point favorites. That Boston College-FSU game Saturday a noon eastern start!
