Panama City, FL--The Hombre Golf Club in Panama City Beach, again hosted the two day Outback Steakhouse Intercollegiate Golf Tournament, with 16 teams taking part.

As it turned out, they needed more than 36 holes to determine a champion. Three teams, Lincoln Memorial, Flagler and Carson Newman all coming in at 601, that's best 4 of five players per team, 36 hole scores. So they went into a sudden death playoff.

Each team first played the par 5 10th hole, with each team carding the best four of five scores.

Lincoln would go first and posted a team score of one under par.

Next was Flagler College, which would card 3 pars and one eagle coming off the blade of Chris Wochsberg. So Flagler in at two under par, which eliminated Lincoln.

Then it was Carson Newman's turn to play the hole. That team with all five balls around the green in two, with two rather good eagle attempts, both though would miss.

Jonathan Kim-Moss in fact pushed his eagle attempt past the hole, still a birdie for him would have won it, but that too was off, so Carson ties Flagler on the hole at two under.

Kim-Moss though would atone rather quickly, his birdie on the par 3 11th the only birdie there, and the difference in the team score, one under for Carson, even for Flagler so Carson Newman takes the title. The team's coach, John Minor, says they skipped this event the last few years, he's so glad they came back.

"We wanted to play early this year, we're 16th ranked now. I think we need to get started earlier than we have in the past. This is a great venue to do it, love the course the people at the Hombre are fantastic. And we especially want to thank Catawba and Sam Gailey for hosting."
