Commodores In Must-Win Situation in Final Three Games

Panama City, FL---The Gulf Coast Commodores are coming off a heartbreaker on the road at Chipola Tuesday night, losing in overtime 83-82. That loss hurt their state tournament hopes, but did not dash them altogether.

Coach Powell's team is now at 4-5 in conference play. That's a game and a half out of the second place tie between Northwest Florida and Pensacola.

That with three games to go, Saturday against Tallahassee, then games against Northwest and Pensacola!

"You know we we're not in the best of situations" says Gulf Coast head coach Jay Powell "but in some ways we still control our own destiny in order to get into the state tournament. Which this late in the season is a good thing. You know we still have to defend our home court, we've been able to do that this whole season. We need to do that Saturday night and of course next Saturday night, these final two homes games. If we do that we'll be right there in the mix."

Saturday night's home game with the Eagles tips off at 7:30, the ladies begin at 5:30.
