Commodores Lose First Panhandle Conference Home Game

Panama City, FL---The Gulf Coast Commodores were in must win territory tonight. In the ever important battle to make the state tournament, they essentially need to win out the rest of their three games, including tonight. Good for them, they have yet to lose in conference at home.

Could that streak continue Saturday? The Commodores hosting Tallahassee.

Jon Wade making sure it keeps up. He puts up three and knocks it down to give the home team an early one point advantage.

A little later, it's Devon baulkman going into isolation mode. He pulls back for the crazy three and bangs it home. That ties the game.

But Tallahassee goes on a bit of a run highlighted by Earvin Morris on the breakaway slam. TCC goes up eight as the lead would eventually rise to double digits.

So Gulf Coast gets on the comeback effort, determined to not let the game get away. Andrew Fishler flushes home the two hand dunk to cut it to seven.

Then, a little later, Anton Waters puts on the spin cycle and gets the layup to put the Commodores up one.

In the end, the Commodores can't keep the momentum in their favor and end up losing their first conference game at home this whole season, along with their third straight contest, as Tallahassee takes it 83-78.
