Panama City, FL---To say the least it's a busy week ahead for the Gulf Coast baseball team. The Commodores, currently 14-5 after the first 19 games, are getting set for a whole bunch of games this week.
Coach Kandler and his program hosting the annual Gulf Coast Spring Classic, which give them 7 games in the next 7 days. That before the conference opener March 14th.
"It's gonna test our pitching staff," says Kandler "but these guys, we've got a month under our belt. The starters have been stretched out a little bit so they should be able to go relatively deep into the game. So we should be able to get through it. But it's gonna be a good test. For a lot of guys it's kind of that final thing before conference. It's put-up or shut-up time for them. So if they have some good performances, we'll view that going into conference, to where they'll get more opportunities. If we have some negative performances we'll have to analyze that as well."
The Commodores get the Classic going with two 7 inning games Tuesday at 3 and 5.
