Commodores Win 9th Straight As League Opener Looms

Panama City, FL---The Gulf Coast baseball team continues to play some hot baseball with the conference opener looming at Chipola this Friday.

The Commodores beating Black Hawk out of Illinois Monday, winning by run rule, 11-1 in 6 innings.

Jordan Worthing, out of Holmes High School, going all 6 innings, giving up just the single run.

His offense got him a run in the second, another in the third, and 9 more the next 3 innings.

The win is the 9th straight for the Commodores, who run their record to 21-6.

Perfect day for baseball. Commodores strike first, leadoff triple by Nick Flair, then it's Tevin Johnson with the bloop that falls in right center, Flair trots in to make it 1-0.

Jordan Worthing, the Holmes product, on the mound working to protect the lead, this is a nice looking breaking ball to get the called strike three!

Bottom of the third, Commodores double the lead, an infield single, a stolen base and Ryan Koziel's sharp single to right, Woody Edwards races around from second ahead of the throw, 2-0 'dores.
They add 9 more, win it in 6, now 21-6, that's 9 in a row.
