Lynn Haven, FL---The Mosley baseball team continues to sail along towards district tournament play, while racking up the wins.
Tuesday the Dolphins ran their overall record to 21-1 and they now stand 9-0 in 5A-1 play following a 5-0 win over visiting Gulf Breeze.
This a game that was originally set to be played at Gulf Breeze, but because rain and a wet field at Mosley last month forced them to play their first game in Gulf Breeze, Tuesday's game was on Mosley's home diamond.
That agreed with them as they scored three times in the bottom of the first, adding another on a wild pitch in the 4th, and one more in the 6th.
All that was plenty for Mosley starter Michael Cullen who went the distance with the shutout, while striking out 8. Mosley has already clinched the top seed in their district tournament later this month at Rutherford.
The attached video shows the following:
We pick it up in the bottom of the first, Mosley already with three on the board, Weston Bizzle gunning for more, smokes one but it's snared by Gulf Breeze shortstop Jacob Kubik.
Bottom of the third, Connor Greene gets to third with two outs, this pitch bounces off the plate and to the backstop, Greene scores easily to make it 4-0.
Michael Cullen the Mosley starter, he wasn't about to let Gulf Breeze back in this game, top of the 4th gets the swinging strikeout.
Later with men at first and second, he gets the grounder, Clay Causey and Brendan Fox work the 6-4-3 double play.
Cullen tosses the shutout, 8 strikeouts, the final 5-0, so Mosley now 21-1, 9-0 in district play.
