Dolphins Gear Up for Another Road Playoff Game

Lynn Haven, FL---Come Friday night four area high school baseball teams look to punch their tickets to the state finals in Fort Myers.

One of those four, the Mosley Dolphins who play their 6A region final at Middleburg in Jacksonville.

That will be for the Dolphins their third playoff game on the road, though traveling hasn't hurt them yet. They won at Pace, then won at Crestview. Being able to beat good teams on the road something that hasn't happened by accident, says coach Todd Harless.

"We played the number one team from Alabama, the number one team from Tennessee. We went to Jacksonville and played four very good teams, I'm sorry, St. Petersburg, and played four very good teams in a tournament. And all four of those teams are in the playoffs actually, right now. And playing them on the road and staying in a hotel room. Being away from home, away from girlfriends. And the kids were focused and ready and we told them on the way down there we're gonna treat this just like the playoffs."

And that's paying off. That game in Jacksonville 7 eastern Friday night, the Dolphins gunning for their first region title since they won it all back in 2002.

There are two 1A games on the schedule Friday as well, Bozeman at Liberty, Northview at Holmes.
