Lynn Haven, FL---It's always good for high school football players to hear from those who have gone before them. With that in mind, the Mosley Dolphins getting a welcome visit Monday afternoon.
Mosley great Ray Wilson spoke to the team before practice Monday. We old-timers remember Ray who was a star for the late George Cochran's teams in the late 80's and 1990.
Ray went on to star at New Mexico and even played a year in the NFL with the Saints and Packers.
Now a mortgage broker in the Tampa area, Ray coming back to give the current crop of Dolphins a bit of a preseason, motivational speech.
"I came back to talk to some of these guys and instill some things that I wish some players had instilled in me growing up." Wilson told us. "My experiences, I think I have a lot of things to share with the guys. One thing I wanted to talk to them about is practice. The thing I talked to them about is the way you practice is the way you play. Always practice hard. And in the end that's how you're gonna play. And that goes for life. If you practice hard in life, the end result is gonna be good. No matter what the score says, you're always gonna be a winner."
A strong message from Ray Wilson who still looks like he can suit up and play. Coach Brown and the Dolphins certainly appreciative of Ray traveling up from Brandon and delivering that message.
