Lynn Haven, FL---The football practice field at Mosley was certainly too soggy to practice on Tuesday, but that didn't stop the Dolphins from getting in a good workout.
Head coach Jeremy Brown taking his guys down the street for an indoor workout at the Fusion Fitness Center for the second day of spring ball.
The team doing some stretching and with helmets and shoulder pads on, even got in a fair amount of hitting.
"The month of May, April and May in Florida you know it's going to rain." coach Brown told me Tuesday. "They give us 20 days, but I don't think any coach in the state has to worry about going over the 20 days, because you're gonna get some rainout days. For us today, being able to come over here to Fusion you know that's a huge advantage for us. Hopefully the kids will be able to stay focused and we can get some work done today."
No matter what, working indoors beats giving the kids the day off and losing one of those 20 days.
"You know i think coming in here, I think the whole spring is about fundamentals. seeing things from guys that maybe didn't play a lot in the fall. And you're always looking for a few surprises in the spring. So even on a day like today you can kind of get some teaching done and work on fundamentals. And hopefully that will carry you through until you can get back outside and really get going."
Many teams will conclude spring with jamborees, games and even intrasquad games. Mosley will do two of those three, a jamboree and intrasquad later this month.
