Dolphins Win District Title

Panama City Beach, FL --- Friday night in boy's high school soccer, area teams were looking to nail down their respective district championships!

That includes Bay and Mosley, who met on the pitch at Gavlak with the 3A district one title on the line! Mosley won the two regular season meetings.

In the highlights attached above, the action picks up early in the first half, Mosley in the home white, with the corner, the header by James Lovette, nice leaping punch save by Bay keeper Zach Watson.

Still scoreless to 6 minute mark, the Dolphins get on the board, Alex Burgans with the low line drive corner kick, William Clemo tries to knock it away with the header but instead winds up with the own-goal, giving Mosley the lead.

Later in the first half, Mosley looking to add to the lead, Burgans again with the opportunity right in front, but his chip shot misses wide left.

Still 1-0 into the second half, the 62nd minute, Mosley adds a second goal when Nicholas Musser is fouled in the box. Douglas Perriman makes good on the penalty kick as that would be the final score of the match.

Mosley wins 2-0 as they are 3A District 2 champs. They will host their first game in the FHSAA Tournament. Bay, as the district runner up, still makes the state tournament as well as they will travel for their first matchup.
