Sand Hills, FL---It's probably not logical to believe the class 1A Bozeman Bucks should be able to compete with the 6A Mosley Dolphins. So it's not a big surprise to see Mosley finish out a season sweep of Bozeman Tuesday night with a 4-1 win on Bozeman's diamond.
The Dolphins put up 3 runs in the first for starter Joey Hair and Hair went to work to protect that lead. He did surrender one run in the bottom of the third on a fielder's choice, but that would be all he would give up.
The Dolphins would add a 4th run in the 4th on an infield error to finish out the 4-1 win. It's the second victory over their rivals to the north, the game earlier this season at Mosley going the Dolphins' way 10-0.
Mosley moving to 20-1 on the season, the Bucks fall to 11-7. They play at Franklin Thursday and then host a district showdown with Blountstown for the top spot in their district tourney later this month.
The attached video shows the following:
We'll pick it up bottom of the second, the Dolphins with three in the first, so they're protecting that lead. Bucks get a man to third, one out, Reed Ruddick plates that run with high chop to third, in comes Michael Cullen, it's 3-1.
Mosley starter Joey Hair though back in command in the third, first the big breaking ball freezes Logan Strausbaugh.
He then ends the inning by getting Brandon Suttles with the fastball on the inside corner.
Top of the 4th, the Mosley offense adds another run, Bowen McGuffin's hard grounder through the legs at first, Connor Greene across, and that's how it ends, 4-1 'fins. They're 20-1, Bucks now 11-7.
