Down in Lakeland the first few rounds of the State Wrestling Meet is in the books, with just two locals still grappling for state titles.

Lakeland, FL-- Down in Lakeland the first few rounds of the State Wrestling Meet is in the books. Niceville with a good first round showing Friday, five Eagles winning their first match, but only one, Zach Bartelson in the 215 class made it to tomorrow's state 2A semi's.
Timothy Winkler of Fort Walton Beach, and Mosley's Ryan Newsome
both won their first round matches in the 140 class, both lost in round two. On the 1-A level, Justin Dunwald of South Walton, and Kris Kenney of Bozeman first round winners, Kenney dropped out in the second, Dunwald won his quarterfinal, and will play in the semifinals Saturday. So just two locals still fighting for state titles.
