Gainesville, FL---College football coaches will tell you the extra time to practice between their final game and a bowl game is like having an extra spring practice.
Will Muschamp agrees with that, saying he wants his coaches and players to take advantage of the time between the win at Florida State, and the Sugar Bowl game against Louisville on the second.
Take out the third quarter.....and that game at Doak was Jeff Driskel's best all season. He says it important he carry that confidence over to these bowl practices, and in fact feels like he has.
"Yeah we've been working on what we need to improve on in the first six practices or however many we've had." Driskel says. "We've all improved ourselves. We've all worked on our skills to get better. It's a chance for me, along with everybody else to get better. During the season it's all game plan, you're looking at the other team and not yourself. This week and last week when we started, it's definitely given us time to look at mechanics, go back to other things instead of looking at the other team."
The Gators will be making their 22nd-straight bowl appearance, that streak ranks first in the SEC and second nationally.
This will also be Florida's 19th January Bowl game since 1993, the highest total in the country.
