Hoover, AL---It may be hard to believe but college football season is right around the corner. It must be, because the SEC is hosting it's annual July Football Media Days up in Hoover outside Birmingham.
Each coach brings 3 players to meet with the media up there to talk about the season ahead, some 12-hundred media credentials dished out this year.
The Florida Gators were first up in front of the mikes and cameras Monday, including starting qb. Jeff Driskel who talked about how he's spent his summer so far.
"Yeah well in the summer it's a lot of conditioning, a lot of lifting, staying in shape type deal. But with the receivers, with the offense, we've kind of took it upon ourselves to go out and throw, work on timing, just kind of stay in football shape, rather just running and lifting. So we've put in a lot of time, a lot of hours, we're really excited for camp coming up here in a couple of weeks."
This preseason, no competing with another qb., Driskel gets the advantage of taking all the first team snaps. We'll see if the extra work pays off in the fall.
