Driskel Talks Confidence Level As He Preps for Tennessee

Gainesville, FL---It's safe to call Jeff Driskel Florida's increasingly beleaguered quarterback Jeff Driskel.

Coming off the bye week, Driskel and his teammates are getting set for their SEC opener and a Saturday game against Tennessee in the Swamp.

Monday, Jeff talking about the Gators ugly loss at Miami the week before. Certainly there's plenty of blame to go around, but the junior qb. gets a nice chunk of it given his two picks in the red zone, among other failures.

Jeff asked Monday if he's confidence has been shaken by that performance and the ensuing criticism!

"No, not really at all." Driskel replied. "My coaches and teammates have full confidence in me and that's all that really matters. Don't try to do too much as a quarterback. When I was on my read's right, I've been accurate this whole year. Trying to do too much there and just go with what you're coached. And don't try to do too much, and you know, hold on to the ball when you're running."

This week the Gators setting their sights on their conference opener against Tennessee. To say the least, the Vol's licking some wounds after getting completely undressed at Oregon. That game in the Swamp 3:30 eastern and you can see it on our sister station WECP.
