Gainesville, FL---The Florida Gators are hoping Kurt Roper can do with Jeff Driskel what Craig and Jimbo Fisher did with Jameis Winston in short order.

Roper's is reportedly going to be Florida's next offensive coordinator.
Reports say after interviewing Roper Monday, Will Muschamp is ready to officially announce the current Duke assistant as the Gators next O.C.

That announcement not likely until after Roper coaches through Duke's bowl game, the Chick-fil-A Bowl against Texas A&M New Year's eve.

Roper will replace Brent Pease who was canned after a miserable, injury plagued season in Gainesville. The team 4-8 with the 110th ranked offense.

A protege of current Duke head coach David Cutliffe, Roper's gained a rep for grooming quarterbacks, Eli Manning, among others. It will be interesting how much improvement he can make in Driskel.

With a 2014 schedule that includes Alabama, FSU, LSU, Georgia, Missouri and South Carolina, there better be serious improvement or Gatornation is going to continue to suffer in a football sense.
