Eagles Expecting Huge Crowd for 7A State Semifinal Friday

Niceville, FL---The folks in Niceville are looking ahead to yet another home playoff game, and this time around a berth in the 7A State Championship game is on the line.

Head coach John Hicks and his team taking a 12-1 record into the 7-A state semi's Friday night against Osceola. That again on the home field, where in fact Niceville's won all three playoff games so far at home, beating Leon, Lincoln and Fletcher handily.

The average score in those three wins, 40-15 so it's obvious the Eagles like the home turf!

"Every Friday night, football Friday night is big around Niceville even in the regular season." coach Hicks says. "So you can imagine being in the state semifinal game it's kind of taken it up to another level. Knowing that we're one game away from a state championship, I look for us to have a tremendous crowd. We always have a good crowd but this week will be a little better, a little more special."

Niceville gunning for it's second state title, the first coming back in 1988 under coach Frank Sorrells. Coach Hicks led them to the title game back in '09, they lost to Nick O'Leary's Dwyer team that year.
