Orlando, FL---For the second time in 5 years, Niceville gets within one win of the state title, and for the second time they fall to Dwyer in the title game.
Niceville beaten by Dwyer in a wild seesaw affair, 55-39 at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando Friday night.
The two teams scored touchdowns on the first 6 possessions of the game, with Niceville scoring on it's first possession on an Ashton Hooker 1 yard sneak.
Dwyer came right back and scored to tie it, and with the exception of two missed conversions, that's how it went for the first half. Niceville scored, Dwyer countered. The Eagles getting a td by Culley on a one yard run, and a 22 yard touchdown by Culley. So it was 21-19 Eagles into the half.
In the third quarter they exchange touchdowns again, Hooker was intercepted by Shawon Lurry who returns it for a 60 yard touchdown, and Dwyer seemingly had the momentum, and a 26-21 lead.
Less than 30 seconds later though Hooker hit Aaron Willis for a 55 yard score, giving the Eagles a 27-26 lead, after the two point conversion failed.
Dwyer would recapture the momentum again though, and kept it the rest of the game. A 14 yard td pass Daniel Parr to Johnny Dixon, and a two point conversion made it 34-27. After another interception, Dwyer scored quickly and it Dwyer's lead was not challenged again.
The game ended 55-39, Niceville finishing the season at 13-2.

-Ashton Hooker's running in fact on the first drive leading to points, first he takes the around the far side, weaves his way some 35 yards, inside the Panthers 30.
-A few plays after that it's Hooker sneaking it in for the first score of the game 7-0 Niceville.
-Dwyer answered with a quick touchdown drive to tie it at 7, back come the Eagles, this time Hooker gives to Tayjon Culley who carries it the last year to make it 14-7.
-Both teams add another score to make it 21-13 Niceville in the second quarter, this is Dwyer pulling even closer, Daniel Parr to Ezra Saffold, 14 yards, two point conversion fails, they go to the half 21-19 Eagles.
-Third quarter Dwyer grabs the lead when Hooker makes a mistake with a throw to the far side, Shawon Lurry steps in front of that pass and goes 60 yards the other way, that makes it 26-21.
-Back come the Eagles, get it to near midfield, Hooker drops back, rolls to his right, looks for and finds Aaron Willis who catches and then finishes off a 55 yard touchdown, they go for two and fail, 27-26 Niceville.
-Dwyer answers that though with two more touchdowns Parr to Johnny Dixon for 14 yards, and then another interception of Hooker, Parr scores early 4th on a 4 yard run, that made 41-27.
Eagles kept scoring but so did Dwyer, it ends 55-39. So for the second time in 5 years, Niceville's title hopes crushed by Dwyer.
