FSU Gets In First South Florida Practice Thursday

Davie, FL---After a rather long layoff, well the Orange Bowl game you might say, is now in sight for the Seminoles.

Coach Fisher taking the 'noles south to Fort Lauderdale Wednesday.

Thursday morning the first team practice down there, they're actually in Davie, at Nova Southeastern University.

FSU will work out again tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday, stick to team meetings Monday, the game set for Tuesday night.

Coach Fisher liked what he saw in the first workout there.

"Great weather, great practice, really like the way the guys came back today. They were enthused and executed very well. I was worried about being off four or five days and how we came back. I thought we were very sharp, especially the first day back. The kids were locked in and focused assignment wise. Very few missed assignments and technique in practice. Actually a very good practice, one of our better, even better than what I thought we practiced at home."

Northern Illinois practicing at Barry University in North Miami. Coach Rod Carey calling their workout Thursday "sharp" as well.

FSU still a 14 point favorite going into Tuesday night's game.
