FSU Looking Ahead to Conference Debut

Tallahassee, FL-- Call it a strange couple of weeks for the Florida State Seminoles to start the 2012 season.

Jimbo Fisher and company certainly haven't been tested in any serious way so far, after opening with blowout wins over F-C-S subdivision teams Murray State and Savannah State.

The latter a game that was called because of bad weather, and apathy with the 'noles leading it 55-zip.

"Come out in all three phases and played the game we could, was very happy with that." Coach Fisher said Monday. "You know I wish we could have gotten a few more guys some work, later in the game. We had plans to play some of those young guys more, but that was just the circumstances with the weather and the situation that occurred."

So suffice it to say the Seminoles still have some question marks surrounding them, even Jimbo acknowledges that.

"You gotta have adversity, and hopefully you try to create those situations in practice. That happens in practice, ou'll see the defense get on top of us, and then you'll see the offense start dominating the defense. And then they get punched in the mouth. And I think you saw, we saw that in camp a bunch, both sides really dominating one side and then the other side learning to fight back. But until you do it in the game I think it's different, you have to understand that."

FSU once again at home this week with that Wake game set for a noon eastern time start.
