FSU Starts Path to College World Series in Tallahassee

The Florida State Seminoles are the fifth nationally ranked team in the 2014 NCAA Baseball Championship.

The ACC's Atlantic Division champs, FSU received an at-large bid, and will also host regional play in Tallahassee.

It's the program's 52nd overall apperance in the postseason, their 37th in a row. Both of those good for second best in Division One, as they haven't missed a regional since 1978.

Howser Stadium will open the Noles postseason schedule also this Friday, but the garnet and gold hope it leads them to the promised land of Omaha.

For the number one seed Noles, they open Friday against Southern Conference champ and number four Georgia Southern at 5 PM central. Alabama and Kennesaw State play before in the two-three matchup.

The winner of the regional moves on to face the victor in the Louisville region.

Host sites of super regionals will be drawn on Monday, June 2nd.
