Tallahassee, FL--There is some bad news Wednesday surrounding the Florida State football program, and Greg Reid in particular.
Reid now facing misdemeanor charges stemming from a traffic stop in southern Georgia. Turns out he was driving with a suspended license and without a seatbelt. He also had some marijuanna in his possession.
He was released on bond shortly after his arrest late last night near his home in Lowndes County.
Reid's a senior to be defensive back and return man who's been a three year starter.
He had 32 tackles with two picks last season, and finished 17th in the nation in punt returns with 11 yards per, including the 83 yard score in the Miami game.
Reid's had off the field issues before, including a one game suspension for violating team rules last season. He also has been arrested before, for lying to police, with that charge later dropped.
Coach Fisher put out a one line statement Wednesday saying he's aware of the arrest but will wait until he has all the information before taking any action in the matter.
